Last night, Christie’s Latin American sale saw excellent results for Roberto Fabelo, Los Carpinteros, Manuel Mendive, and Tomás Sánchez.

Fabelo’s Omega 3 (2014; Lot 60) almost tripled its low estimate to reach $275,000. (All prices include buyer’s premium.) This is a new record for the artist, whose 2014 diptych, Ovo, set his previous high of $250,000 in the Christie’s sale last fall.
