Video of a woman dragging a child to the front door of a stranger’s house and then running off before he was safely inside, has now gone viral, leaving many to ask, “Where were his parents?”
Fortunately, the child was safely returned to his mother who says she asked her friend to drop her son off at his father’s house while she was in the hospital, but that the woman accidentally took hime to the wrong residence.

While she may have forgiven her buddy and attempted to dismiss the incident as a “very big misunderstanding” viewers who saw the surveillance camera video were outraged. Now authorities in Spring, Texas are saying the woman who left two-year-old Royal Prince Simmons outside without supervision could face charges of felony child endangerment.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Spencer says the fact that the woman left the boy on the front step on Wednesday night without waiting for an adult to open the door is negligent, especially considering it wasn’t even the right home.
Willie Simmons, the boys father, lives next door to the house where his child was abandoned and says he didn’t realize the extent of what had happened until a news crew showed the footage from his neighbor’s video system the following morning.

“What if my neighbor wasn’t there? If my neighbor wasn’t there, my son would have been roaming up and down the street,” Simmons told ABC News.
Unlike his son’s mother, he fully supports the investigation and isn’t so quick to forgive.
“That was very irresponsible. And I feel the lady who dropped my son off needs to be held accountable.”
Lt. Spencer says authorities have identified who the woman in the video is and even though she has yet to be charged, they are taking the matter seriously.
