T-Pain warned his audience that he would leave the stage if they threw something else at him. The group of mostly high school students attending BBYO Convention in Denver, Colo., didn’t listen, so he kept his word. He bounced when someone threw a beach ball.
Footage shared by TMZ from the rapper’s Sunday performance shows him being hit in the face with the beach ball, prompting him to cut his set sort after 30 minutes and leaving the stage. One attendee described the moment as a “learning moment” for the millennial audience members.

The concert attendee who shared the video noted that from the moment the entertainer hit the stage, various items were being thrown toward him. Video of the incident was uploaded on Reddit on Monday (Feb. 18).
“It is also worth mentioning that all the kids at the concert were put in a bad mood due to the circumstances,” the Reddit user wrote. “It pains me to say that probably half the kids were outside the concert hall because the concert was dead from the beginning. Typically, at the convention the floor is open and everyone moshes and hangs out. But because of the location, the floor was blocked off for only certain kids, this year, with everyone trying to sneak in.”
T-Pain’s crew reportedly tried to convince him to return to the stage to finish his set but he wasn’t having it.
A similar incident went down back in March 2018 when a fanatic threw water at Lil Wayne during his performance at the Jumanji Festival in Sydney, Australia. The rap icon also threatened to cancel the show if he was attacked again and luckily the crowded obeyed.
Meanwhile, T-Pain is gearing up to drop his first new studio album since his 2017’s Oblivion, titled 1Up, and it is expected later this year.
Complex reports that the auto-tune master plans to support the album with the accompanying 1Up Tour that kicks off at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio, Texas March 16.
