Civil rights icon John Lewis was front and center stumping for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams on Thursday during a town hall filled with star power that included a special appearance by Oprah Winfrey.

So it was only right that Lewis who has fought the good fight, gotten into good trouble and inspired generations with his work on the frontlines, got on the good foot and celebrated the historic moment with a happy dance.

The 78-year-old got his groove on and was seen in a video that has now gone viral, getting down and dancing to Pharrell’s feel good anthem Happy.

Even Pharrell himself took note and gave the venerable Civil Rights icon a nod.

“Get it Legend” he wrote.

Georgia is pretty fired up as Abrams, the former minority leader of the Georgia House of Representative, is in a dead-heat running for governor against Republican opponent, Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp.

While Pharrell gave Lewis and Abrams camp the approval to play his signature song, he gave the middle-finger to Trump camp last week when he sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding that he stop playing his song at his divisive rallies.

Kim Kardashian West apologizes after her use of a slur receives major backlash

“On the day of the mass murder of 11 human beings at the hands of a deranged ‘nationalist,’ you played (Williams’) song ‘Happy’ to a crowd at a political event in Indiana,” the letter, signed by Williams’ attorney, Howard King, said. “There was nothing ‘happy’ about the tragedy inflicted upon our country on Saturday and no permission was granted for your use of this song for this purpose.”

The letter continued to explain that as the owner of “Happy,” Pharrell “has not, and will not, grant you permission to publicly perform or otherwise broadcast or disseminate any of his music. The use of ‘Happy’ without permission constitutes copyright infringement.”
