Legendary music executive Clarence Avant received the GRAMMYS Salute to Industry Icon award last night at the 2019 Pre-GRAMMY Gala hosted by Clive Davis.

Friends and fellow living legends Berry Gordy and Quincy Jones were on hand to celebrate the honor with Avant. Attendees included Angela Bassett, Ciara & Russell Wilson, Earth, Wind and Fire, Faith Evans, Don Lemon, LL Cool J and others. Performances included Travis Scott performing current hit, “Sicko Mode,” and R&B star H.E.R., who received a standing ovation during this, her first gala appearance.
