Like Father, Like Son! Tiger Woods’ 15-Year-Old Son Competes In Palm Beach Golf Pre-Qualifier

The progeny of Pro Hall of Fame golfer Tiger Woods may be extended if things go well on Feb. 22, when the legend’s son, Charlie Woods, brings his golf equipment to Florida.
According to The PGA Tour, Woods played in the pre-qualifier for the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches that started at 7:39 a.m. Charlie played at Lost Lake Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida, one of four pre-qualifying sites. The top players will advance to the Monday qualifier, from which four will earn spots in the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. That tournament takes place Feb. 29-March 3 at PGA National’s Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Charlie finished 16-over-86 with four bogeys, two double bogeys, and a 12-shot on the par-4 7th hole. If he can rank among the top 25 finishers, he’ll play in Monday’s qualifier, where four players will earn a spot at PGA National.
If Charlie does well enough to earn a spot, he will make his first start on the PGA Tour at 15 years and 21 days old. He would debut earlier than his father, who did so when he was 16 years old.
The progeny played with his father in the last four PNC Championships. While the pair has yet to win, they came close when they finished as runner-up in 2021.
