Travis Scott, Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, says he doesn’t believe in the so-called ‘Kardashian curse,” the New York Daily News is reporting.

Rapper Scott, 26, told GQ magazine that the curse is not even on this radar.

Scott has been Jenner’s boyfriend for two years. The legend of the curse is that men’s lives turn to mush when they date members of the Kardashian family.

“Hell nah,” Scott told GQ. “Nervous for what? I’m on my own island. So hey, come over there to Astroworld. I’m not into all the other s—t. I don’t get involved. I’m over here. Kylie is different.”

The concept of the “Kardashian curse” dates back to 2016 when Kourtney Kardashian’s then-boyfriend, Scott Disick said in an episode of the reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” hired a medium to rid himself of the reputed curse, the News reports.

And if you’re rolling your eyes at the concept, consider the examples social media brings up: Ray J, whose career hit a bump after dating Kim Kardashian, Lamar Odom, who overdosed and slipped into a coma after his divorce from Khloe Kardashian, and most recently, Kanye West and his seeming mental breakdown after two years of marriage to Kim.

Jenner, 20, told GQ that she believes the reality is that the men who date members of her family are just not ready for the extreme fame her family experiences, and they cannot handle the intense spotlight.

“It’s not just men – it’s friends, it’s people who come and just don’t know how to handle it,” Jenner said. “It’s the negative. There’s a lot of people who love us, but there’s also a huge handful of people who don’t like us.”

Scott is not comfortable with the constant limelight but pushes through for her sake and the sake of the couple’s daughter, Stormi, she told GQ.

“For sure, I know he doesn’t like the attention,” she said. “That’s why we just go the extra mile to keep our relationship super private.”

Scott and Kardashian began dating last year. They hit it off at the Coachella music festival and Jenner decided on a whim to accompany him for the rest of the tour, the News reported.
