The popular FX network series Pose has been renewed for a second season, which is a good indication that the eclectic show with the transgender cast has been well-received.
POSE is the first show scripted television series on a major network to showcase a cast primarily made up of Black and brown queer people—specifically transgender women.
“Ryan Murphy has once again revolutionized television with Pose, an incredibly engaging story of creativity, courage, compassion, love and family at a pivotal time in our culture,” said FX CEO John Landgraf about the Pose co-creator.

“As television critics have universally acknowledged, there is simply nothing like Pose on TV, so effortlessly excelling on every creative level and earning a place in television history for its infectiously inclusive spirit,” Landgraf said.
About the show: “Set in the 1980s, Pose looks at the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene and the ball culture world.”
The history making cast makes up the largest recurring LGBTQ cast ever, according to Shadow and Act.
The cast includes: Angelica Ross, Billy Porteer, Charlayne Woodard, Dominique Jackson, Dyllon Burnside, Evan Peters, Hailie Sahar, Indya Moore, James Van Der Beek, Kate Mara, MJ Rodriguez and Ryan Jamaal Swain.

Despite reveling in rave reviews Pose star Dominique Jackson, recently detailed a horrifying incident at an Aruba resort.
Jackson tweeted and later deleted an Instagram video detailing an incident on the island where she says she was nearly assaulted and had her panties ripped off by man at an Aruba resort.
“I got put out of my hotel room because I wouldn’t sleep with a white man on his vacation,” she said in the now deleted Instagram video.
She said Ryan Murphy helped her out by making phone calls to help her get off the island.
