WHAT: Angela Stanton-King, republican candidate for Georgia’s fifth district will join US Impact Team for the 9/11 Memorial and Back the Blue event on Friday, September 11, 2020. The event will honor the victims lost during the 9/11 tragedy and promote a Police-Community partnership, which US Impact Team believes is the key to maintaining a safe city.
Stanton-King believes showing support for the event is extremely important. She shares the US Impact Team’s passion to improve the relationship between communities and the police department. “We have to create a safe space where our communities feel protected by the police instead of victimized. We also need to make sure our police officers feel appreciated as our local heroes. Instead of speaking about defunding the police, we should be advocating ways to create partnerships and promoting connectivity between communities and police officers. I’m proud to stand with US Impact Team in their initiative to create harmony,” Stanton-King says.
