This week the teaser for and Jason Segel’s new AMC series Dispatches From Elsewhere was released and fans were pleasantly surprised to see Outkast’s André 3000 included in mix playing the role of a secret agent.
In the 45-second-long clip features, in addition to Segel and the rapper, Sally Field, and Eve Lindley round out the ensemble as they’re all brought together as agents after discovering “a puzzle hiding just behind the veil of everyday life.”

Vulture describes the hour-long anthology series as “A sprinkle of Westworld, a pinch of Homecoming, a heaping dollop of The OA,” adding to the growing trend of shows that seem to center around one giant mystery that audiences are meant to decipher throughout the season.
And AMC’s IMDB description of the series explains how the show follows four average citizens who “stumble onto a puzzle hiding just behind the veil of everyday life. As they begin to accept the mysterious Dispatches from Elsewhere challenges, they come to find that the mystery winds deeper than they imagined, and their eyes are opened to a world of possibility and magic.”

Andre and the rest of the cast filmed in Philly, where production for the 10-episode first season began several months ago. And during that exact same time it was reported that the Outkast frontman was believed to be working on a new album.
“He got an album,” Los Angeles rapper Thurz shared while making an appearance on Real 92.3 LA’s Home Grown Radio show. He then went on to share how star-struck he was by the legendary artist who popped up at the studio while he was working with Dr. Dre.
“He played a lot of ideas that sounded like an album to me so I’m jumping to conclusions,” he concluded.
We’re not sure when (or if) that alleged album is coming out, but Dispatches From Elsewhere is set to premiere sometime in 2020.
