*The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office confirmed on Monday that rapper Nipsey Hussle died of gunshot wounds to the head and torso, Variety reports.
As TheGrio previously noted, according to Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officials, the shooter is described as an unidentified Black male who fled in a car driven by a woman.
Hussle, who was 33-years-old, was fatally shot Sunday afternoon outside his Marathon Clothing store in Hyde Park of Los Angeles.

The LAPD scheduled a news conference for Tuesday morning as community leaders call on those who feel the need to retaliate to stand down, according to the report. More details about the Grammy-nominated artist’s death will be available when a full autopsy report is released.
Meanwhile, LAPD Chief Michel Moore told reporters Monday that it appears Nipsey’s death was gang-related and the slain rapper knew his killer. Hussle, born Ermias Joseph Asghedom, had previously spoken of his affiliation with the Rollin’ 60s Crips.
“Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy. L.A. is hurt deeply each time a young life is lost to senseless gun violence,” Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted Sunday.

While investigators have yet to apprehend the shooter, surveillance cameras may hold clues to the suspect, as video footage apparently shows at least part of what went down the moment Nipsey was shot.
