All Four One-Hour Episodes Debut Thursday, April 12 on ESPN in Prime Time and on ESPN VOD
The ESPN original series We The Fans is returning for a second season this spring to chronicle the lives of Dallas Cowboys fans. The series premieres Thursday, April 12 with all four one-hour We The Fans: Dallas episodes airing back-to-back in prime time on ESPN (7-11 p.m. ET). Once each episode debuts that evening, it will be available immediately for replay via the ESPN App and ESPN Video on Demand.
We The Fans: Dallas presented by Meguiar’s will include additional storytelling elements on ESPN Digital and social platforms.
The award-winning ESPN Features Unit followed 12 Dallas Cowboys fans throughout the 2017 NFL season. We The Fans: Dallas tells their backstories and highlights their shared passion for “America’s Team” through the wins and losses and off-the-field events that impacted the team. Among the fans profiled are a retired pro baseball player; a newlywed from Houston whose home was destroyed in Hurricane Harvey; a 73-year-old season ticketholder who is a motherly figure to Cowboys players; a gay couple from Arlington, Texas; and a family from Massachusetts that travels to Dallas for most home games.
“The Dallas Cowboys are an institution and one of the world’s most iconic sports franchises with a wildly passionate and highly diverse fan base,” said Jose Morales, ESPN coordinating producer, who is overseeing the project. “We the Fans provides an intimate look at the lives of Cowboys fans, and whether you love or hate the most famous star in sports, all fans will relate to this group of people and how absorbed they are in their favorite team.”
A year ago, We The Fans made its debut with an arc of seven 30-minute episodes about Chicago Bears season ticket holders in Soldier Field’s Section 250.
