Iconic singer, songwriter, and producer, Larry Dodson who goes by Larry D., for almost five decades was the original lead singer of The Bar-Kays, one of the most influential bands in history, has released a new single, “I’m Good.” Larry D. performed his new hit single and some of the hits as the original lead singer of the Bar-Kays including “Shake Your Rump to the Funk,” “Freak Show,” and “Grown Folks” Saturday night in a dynamic, full of funk pay-per-view concert which included a live band, dancers and background singers fans know and love about his performances. The concert opened with a vibrant performance by Jessica Ray, daughter of celebrated Stax Records bassist Ray Griffin.

Larry D. has also been busy with ventures outside of music. As a brand ambassador and spokesperson for Guidance, a black-owned whiskey brand based in Nashville, Tennessee, he understands and embraces the relationship between music and whiskey.
