Makes Debut March 28, Will Regularly Appear on Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown This Season

ESPN today announced that World Series Champion Manager John Farrell has joined the company as a Baseball Tonight studio analyst. The veteran manager, who is a current adviser for the Cincinnati Reds, will make his debut on the Baseball Tonight – 2018 Season Preview show on Wednesday night, March 28, at midnight on ESPN2.

“I’m excited to join ESPN and contribute to its Major League Baseball coverage,” said Farrell.

Farrell will make regular appearances on Baseball Tonight: Sunday Night Countdown, which is ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball pre-game show, during the 2018 season. He’ll appear with several ESPN commentators, including Karl Ravech, Mark Teixeira, and David Ross, who played for Farrell on the 2013 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox team.

“John is a World Series Champion who brings a wealth of knowledge, plus the always-valuable manager’s perspective,” said Seth Markman, ESPN senior coordinating producer.

Farrell will also appear on ESPN’s Opening Day Baseball Tonight coverage on Thursday, March 29 at 12 p.m. on ESPN2 and again at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.
