The case dates back to a March DUI arrest, when officers found prescription painkillers in his possession. Woods has said the medication was tied to inpatient medical treatment he received overseas. The USS Abraham Lincoln has arrived in Thailand following a record-breaking Middle East deployment. The aircraft carrier spent more than 270 consecutive days at sea without a standard port visit, setting a modern military record. Now, its crew of 5,000 sailors and marines is officially en route home to San Diego after being relieved by the USS George Washington. For the families waiting on these service members, many of them from our own communities, this homecoming has been a long time coming.
Two out-of-state men have pleaded not guilty to making violent threats connected to the death investigation of Nolan Wells. California resident Joseph Demarce and Illinois resident Edward Porter now face federal charges in Mississippi. Prosecutors say the men threatened to bomb a judge’s office and kill family members of Wells’ friends. The threats followed the teenager’s July 4th disappearance off the Mississippi coast. The case has drawn national attention as authorities work to protect those involved in the ongoing investigation.

Tech giant Apple is officially updating Apple Maps to rename Lake Ontario as “Lake America” within the United States.
