“Stronger” stands out as well. That 2017 movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Tatiana Maslany as two survivors of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. Gyllenhaal plays the real-life Jeff Bauman, who lost both his legs due to the bombing. Bauman had been standing at the finish line, waiting for his girlfriend (played by Maslany) to finish the race.
