Wendy Williams addressed fans who were upset by comments she made about the Clark sisters on her show Wednesday.
The talk show host took to Instagram and cleared the air about her intention.
“I didn’t mean anything bad about the Clark sisters,” she said. “I like the Clark sisters.”
Williams was talking about the gospel charts where she said the Clark sisters should be upset about Snoop Dogg’s gospel album.
“If I were the Clark Sisters, would I be mad that Snoop got No. 1?” Wendy asked her audience. “You know the Clark Sisters, they’ve been doing gospel forever. Have they gotten No. 1?”
Celebrity fans of the gospel group took to Twitter to defend them.
I would be nothing without the CLARK SISTERS. I’m not even in the same category. I’m just now getting to where they started. Salute.

She ended the video by inviting the sisters to her show to perform.
