Entertainment media outlets Variety and Rolling Stone are teaming up to co-host a Criminal Justice Reform Summit in Los Angeles, with a star-studded line-up, including CNN host and activist Van Jones, reality star Kim Kardashian West and rapper Meek Mill.

The forum to be held November 14, will reportedly present a mix of entertainers, philanthropists and criminal justice reform advocates who will examine America’s broken system and explore conversations about policy changes.
Mill has emerged from jail as an advocate for criminal justice reform.
Jones, who sparked social media ire this week for a softball interview with Jared Kushner, will give the keynote at the conference along with Kardashian-West, who was instrumental is getting Alice Marie Johnson released from prison after serving 21 years of a life sentence for drug charges.
The reality star appealed successfully to President Donald Trump for Johnson’s release.
The Coalition for Public Safety, the Justice Action Network, #cut50, the Margaret and Daniel Loeb Foundation, ARC, and One Community LLC are also reportedly joining Variety and Rolling Stone as co-hosts.

Other panelists include: Freddy Brathwaite a.k.a Fab 5 Freddy, Scott Budnick, Daniel Loeb, Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils co-owner Michael Rubin, U.S. governors John Bel Edwards, Mary Fallin and Dannel P. Malloy, former New York Times editor and Marshall Project editor-in-chief Bill Keller and “Get Out” actress Allison Williams.
The event will take place at the Jeremy Hotel in West Hollywood.
