Women’s Semifinals Tonight; Serena on a Mission for #24
After 10 days of ESPN’s exclusive live coverage of the US Open, the overnight rating is averaging a 1.0, up 25% from 0.8 a year ago, which concluded as ESPN’s most-watched US Open since 2015.
Through Tuesday, all key demos are up and the increase in viewership includes a 23% rise among female viewers and 11% among viewers age 18-34.
Women’s Semifinals Tonight
Tonight’s Women’s Semifinals presented by Fidelity Investments on ESPN, Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. In a battle of top 10 players, the first match will see #8 Serena Williams face #5 Elina Svitolina. The other match will pit #13 Belinda Bencic vs. #15 Bianca Andreescu.
ESPN & the US Open
ESPN has exclusive live action to the US Open with more than 160 hours on television and 1,300 more streaming live on the ESPN app via ESPN+ and ESPN3. The daily action from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center will culminate with the Women’s Championship on Saturday, Sept. 7, and the Men’s Championship on Sunday, Sept. 8, both at 4 p.m. ET.
