UFC Fight Night on ESPN this Saturday, June 29, will feature top heavyweight contenders Francis Ngannou vs. Junior Dos Santos with a shot at the UFC heavyweight title on the line at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. The entire event will be live and available exclusively on ESPN and ESPN Deportes in the U.S. with preliminary bouts beginning at 6 p.m. ET and the main card starting at 9 p.m.
“The Predator” Ngannou (13-3) is the No. 2 ranked UFC heavyweight with 13 finishes in 13 career victories, including nine by way of knockout. Ngannou’s resume includes a 26-second, first-round KO of former two-time heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez last February. Former UFC heavyweight champion Dos Santos (21-5) is the No. 3 ranked UFC heavyweight, following his second-round KO of Derrick Lewis last March. The heavy-handed Dos Santos is tied for the most knockouts in UFC heavyweight history with 10.
The main card also features the UFC’s No. 1 flyweight contender Jussier Formiga (23-5) vs. No. 2 contender Joseph Benavidez (27-5), two-time UFC title challenger Demian Maia (26-9) in a welterweight showdown against Anthony Rocco Martin (16-4), undefeated lightweight Roosevelt Roberts (7-0) vs. Vinc Pichel (11-2), lightweights Drew Dober (20-9, 1 NC) vs. Marco Polo Reyes (8-6), and undefeated Alonzo Menifield (8-0) vs. Paul Craig (11-3) in a light heavyweight bout.
ESPN+ will feature the exclusive UFC Fight Night Pre-Show, providing fans all the information they need to get ready for the event. Hosted by Karyn Bryant alongside former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans and reigning UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, the Pre-Show will be on-site in Minneapolis and available on ESPN+ beginning at 6 p.m. ET on Friday, June 28. ESPN+ will also feature a live, exclusive UFC Fight Night Post Show, immediately following the event.
Calling the live action on ESPN will be play-by-play announcer Jon Anik, with analysis from former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping. Myron Medcalf will handle reporting duties. Production for all UFC events on ESPN and ESPN+ is provided by UFC. UFC’s Spanish-language commentary will be provided by Troy Santiago on play-by-play, with Brandon Moreno as analyst.
