RonReaco Lee as Detective Harris
RonReaco Lee, a fan favorite from First Wives Club, Survivors Remorse and Fight Night, takes on the role of Detective Harris, a law enforcement officer whose moral compass is tested throughout the investigation. Lee expressed enthusiasm about portraying a police officer, a role he had long desired. He remarked, “I play a police officer, which was fun. I always wanted to play a cop. Mr. Perry gave me my shot.” Regarding his character’s ethical dilemmas, Lee added, “I think we’re trying to figure out, is he a good cop? Is he a bad cop? Where’s he at morally in this movie?”
On a personal note, Lee shared insights into his life off-screen, emphasizing the importance of his marriage and fatherhood. He candidly discussed the challenges and rewards of maintaining a long-term relationship, stating, ” Marriage is tough, but it’s worth it. We got two kids, we’ve been married, we’re going on 15 years this year. been dating her 20. So when you get that type of time in the game, it really comes down to being a helpmate. And I think when her and I can both be in unison just look to help each other, you really can’t go wrong. Sometimes it gets hard. Our kids are very demanding. They got schedules and so sometimes I get knocked down on that list. Sometimes she gets knocked down on that priority list, but I think it’s important to recognize that and you just got to bump us right up to number one. Sometimes you got to just tell them kids to get on. “
He also humorously confessed to a penchant for junk food, specifically fruit snacks, noting, “What’s my bad habit? Junk food, much specifically fruit snacks. If I really want to get specific, Welch’s fruit snacks.”
Tyler Lepley as Tony Wells
Tyler Lepley portrays Tony Wells, Marley’s supportive boyfriend and a former cop turned private investigator. Lepley described his character’s evolution throughout the film, mentioning, “Tony is introduced to this story through the police injustice that happens. There’s a life that’s lost and then there’s more than what meets the eye. And without giving everything away, he’s a part of what we’re going to uncover by the third act. The first two acts, he handles things passively by the third act, he gets directly aggressive with it.”
Lepley also opened up about his personal life, revealing a common nervous habit, “I got a habit of biting my nails. I’m not proud of it.” He also shared joyous news about his impending marriage, responding to inquiries about his availability with, “No ma’am. I’m happily about to be married.”
What’s next for Lepley? “Next, we have R&B that’s coming out on Netflix, a horror slash thriller. called Goons and I still got P Valley.”
Nick Barrotta as Sam
Nick Barrotta plays Sam, a diligent news producer determined to uncover the truth behind the central mystery. Barrotta emphasized the film’s suspenseful nature, stating, “It’s a thriller. And in classic Tyler Perry fashion, there’s a lot of plot twists.” He further noted that audiences would be kept guessing, adding, “One thing about Tyler, if there’s a plot, we’re going to twist it. We’re really excited about it.”
When discussing personal indulgences, Barrotta admitted to a sweet tooth, ” I love eating candy. Sour Patch, watermelon. If they’re sitting in front of me, I’m going full throttle for them all. I’m trying to get rid of that too much. My fitness guy right here will yell at me. I’m trying to get in shape,” He also mentioned a fondness for reality television, “I’ll be honest with you, I’m a little into the reality TV too much these days too. The Kardashians, if they’re on, I’m interested.”

He paid for his college education and a brand-new car. There’s a person in a wheelchair who had a stroke. He’s paying his bills.
