This Sunday (March 2nd), the entertainment world will converge in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theater for the 97th Academy Awards. During the gala, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present Oscars in 23 categories, honoring films released in 2024. Legendary comedian Conan O’Brien will host the prestigious award show for the first time. Competition is once again stiff as films including Dune: Part Two, A Complete Unknown, Wicked, Emilia Pérez and many more all fight for the night’s top honors. Every year, the Oscars provides a historic night for fans of film and this year promises to be no different. Timothée Chalamaet, Cynthia Erivo, Colman Domingo, Sebastian Stan and Fernanda Torres are just a few of the nominees looking to etch their names into the history books. Speaking of the history of the Oscars, there are countless records that have been set over the years. This year, over 30 of those could potentially be broken. Check out a list put together by the good people at VegasInsider.com that explains everything down in depth. Let us know who you’d like to see take home hardware at the ceremony this weekend!
