Beautiful Pensacola, Florida, was the site of the photo shoot showcasing the 2018-2019 Top 10 EBONY HBCU Campus Queens as voted on by EBONY.com visitors. VisitPensacola.com hosted the Queens and showed them the best of sights, sounds, nightlife and dining that “The Pensacola Experience” has to offer.
The Top 10 HBCU EBONY Campus Queens representing the 2018-19 academic year hailed from Savannah State University, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Morgan State University, Winston Salem State University, Albany State University, Howard University, Dillard University, Xavier University of Louisiana, Livingstone College and Fort Valley State University.
The city of Pensacola rolled out the royal treatment for our Queens! The backdrops for the photoshoot included historical site Fort Pickens Gulf Islands National Seashore, one of Pensacola’s four military forts designed to protect Pensacola in the 1800s; and Johnson Beach in Perdido Key on the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
The Queens dined in the historic Belmont-DeVilliers neighborhood at Five Sisters Blues Cafe, in the heart of historic downtown Pensacola, which was for many years the epicenter of the city’s African-American social and business life.
Special consideration and thanks go out to the Holiday Inn Resort and Hampton Inn in Pensacola Beach and to Hemingway’s Island Grill, where our Top 10 EBONY HBCU Campus Queens were treated to an amazing seafood buffet.
