A suspected White supremacist in Kansas confessed to killing a Black woman who threatened to “tell everyone” that he is HIV positive, according to law enforcement, The Kansas City Star reports.
Ronald Lee Kidwell, 47, was charged with killing MeShon Cooper, 43, earlier this month after she reportedly attacked him in his home, according to an affidavit by the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office obtained by The Kansas City Star.
According to the affidavit, Cooper pulled out a knife from her purse and hit Kidwell on his left hand causing him to assault her, gain control of the knife, stab and kill her.
“When I get mad, I make the exorcist look like a bitch,” he reportedly said, per the affidavit.
Cooper was last seen alive on July 6 at Kidwell’s home, according to phone records obtained by the police.
An investigation led cops to Kidwell’s home on July 14, where he was eventually arrested in connection to her death.
Kidwell reportedly denied knowing where Cooper was, but upon further questioning, he confessed to killing her, per the report.
He told police that he wrapped her body in garbage bags and placed it inside a trashcan inside his garage, per the affidavit.
His daughter, Carolyn Foster, told The Kansas City Star, that Kidwell was a “monster” and was a White supremacist, who loved to attack Black people.
The Kansas City Star obtained a photo of Kidwell holding a Confederate flag and donning tattoos, one of which is a swastika.
Kidwell was convicted of second-degree assault for sexually assaulting a Black woman in 2011. He reportedly did not wear a condom, despite being HIV positive, he told police, according to the report.
He’s been charged with second-degree murder and his bail was set at $1 million.
