Super Bowl LIII will be a historic event not only because quarterback Tom Brady is seeking his sixth championship ring, but also because it will be the first time male cheerleaders will perform at the big game.
Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies will be in Atlanta on Sunday as the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams and will cheer for the Rams with their female counterparts, according to Sports Illustrated.
The duo, who joined the team in March, has been cheering all season and have made history, along with New Orleans Saints’ Jesse Hernandez, as the the first male cheerleaders in the NFL.
“Aye Napoleon, you
think Atlanta is ready for us? … NAHHHHHH… WE’RE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!”
Peron wrote on Twitter on Jan. 20.
Jinnies and Peron are both classically trained dancers, according to Sports Illustrated. Last week, Peron told Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan, a former NFL player, that performing at the league’s biggest game is “like a fairy tale.”
