Piero Fornasetti’s La Stanza Metafisica (Metaphysical Room) in Sting and Trudie Styler’s New York Apartment.

Phillips announced that its June 6 auction of design in New York will feature 15 items from the personal collection of the musician Sting and his wife, the English actress and director Trudie Styler.

The auction will feature a series of design objects including the formidable 32-panel Piero Fornasetti work La Stanza Metafisica. Also up for sale will be pieces from Serge Roche and Shirt Kuramata as well as Sting’s personal Yamaha piano.

Truthfully, this post was really more or less supposed to be an excuse for me to share something from the recent collaborative LP between Sting and the dancehall reggae legend Shaggy. But then I found something even better. Please enjoy the duo jamming last month on a live version of the Shaggy classic “It Wasn’t Me,” featuring Sting on bass and vocals.
