A disturbing video that has been making the rounds on Facebook appears to show former NFL player Desmond Marrow lose consciousness as police officers violently wrestle him to the ground and choke him.
In the video, you can hear Marrow say “I’m not even doing nothing! I’m not even fighting back!” His hands are handcuffed behind his back as two police officers slam him up against a truck and ultimately throw him to the ground head first.
A third officer arrives as Marrow begins to cry and once again note that he had not done anything. At one point he says “You slammed me on my f*cking head!” Marrow is lying on the ground on his side. One of the officers places his hand over Marrow’s throat and squeezes.

Marrow wheezes “I can’t breathe” multiple times and then goes limp. His eyes close. Marrow is motionless on the ground as one officer says “Settle down, just relax.” After a few seconds an officer pats Marrow on the chest and asks “Are you okay?”
It appears that Marrow’s eyes flutter a bit and then close again. At the end of the undated one-minute video, the officers can be seen ordering Marrow to sit up as they yank his arms forward.
The video is undated, but according to Heavy, court documents show that this arrest took place in December of 2017 when Marrow was charged with making terroristic threats, reckless driving, aggressive driving and obstruction. Police were responding to a call about road rage.
Marrow’s Statement
Marrow, a former defensive back who was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pre-season in 2012, posted the video on Facebook yesterday with a lengthy caption.
According to Marrow, he was arrested and taken into custody by the Henry County Police in Atlanta, GA. He says he was arrested for having a gun, but in fact he only had a cellphone.
Marrow also says his teeth were knocked out during the arrest.
From Facebook:
“During the arrest the police knocked my teeth out, slammed me on my head and choked me out until I was unconscious. In addition I suffered a shoulder strain and a concussion along with the heartache of my Wife leaving me during this Very Hard time for my short comings and careless actions. This has affected me mentally and impacted my life in a way I can’t even humanly describe. This isn’t a cry for sympathy, I just need it to be known”

Marrow claims that he was initially given no bond, but once police learned that he was a former NFL player and that there was video, they offered to drop the charges in exchange for him not posting the video.
It seems that Marrow has been having a rough go at life post-NFL. In the caption to the Facebook video, he shares his current living situation and finances.
“I been sleepin on the floor I can’t get a job with these #Felonies I lost my gym all my clients & training kids is my passion that’s ALL I wana do I can’t pay my child support I would love to see my son I’d take any type of love Bruh it’s real right now,” he writes.
Marrow tagged several people on the post, including TI, Al Sharpton, a local news station, and the Shade Room.
