With top-ranked Alabama participating in its fifth College Football Playoff Semifinal, four Southeastern Conference football teams in action on New Year’s Day and four SEC squads participating in New Year’s Six Bowls, SEC Network will feature nearly 30 hours of around-the-clock studio analysis and in-game reaction surrounding the College Football Playoff and SEC teams playing in the postseason.
SEC Nation Presented by Dr Pepper and SEC Now will continue their expansive coverage of SEC football, including several live editions over the days leading up to game day from the SEC Network set at the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl.
SEC Now
SEC Now kicks off the conversation on Thursday, Dec. 27 at 9:30 a.m. ET with coverage of Alabama’s media day from the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl. Dari Nowkhah, Marcus Spears and Tim Tebow will be on the desk in the morning, and Gene Chizik will join the trio for Friday’s evening edition. The post-game edition of SEC Now from Miami will follow the conclusion of second College Football Playoff Semifinal featuring the top-ranked Crimson Tide. Peter Burns, Chris Doering and DJ Shockley will team up for New Year’s Day bowl coverage on Tuesday, Jan. 1 from the SEC Network studios in Charlotte.
SEC Nation
SEC Nation Presented by Dr Pepper will originate from Miami on Saturday at 10 a.m., providing expert SEC opinion and analysis from host Laura Rutledge, analysts Tim Tebow, Marcus Spears and Paul Finebaum, and reporter Lauren Sisler, as well as additional pre-game insight from SEC Network analyst Gene Chizik. Dari Nowkhah will host the 7 p.m. pre-game edition on Saturday evening with Rutledge taking over for full post-game coverage from the Capital One Orange Bowl.
Along with SEC Network’s presence in Miami, the network will have a live set in Orlando for full New Year’s Day bowl coverage on Tuesday, Jan. 1 from the field at the VRBO Citrus Bowl. Tebow will join the SEC Nation Presented by Regions Bank crew on Tuesday from the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
Thinking Out Loud: CFP Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl
The Thinking Out Loud trio of Marcus Spears, Greg McElroy and Alyssa Lang returns MegaCast-style from Miami, bringing hijinks, highlights and hilarity to Saturday night’s College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl. Spears, McElroy and Lang will break down all the action from Alabama’s appearance in their fifth consecutive CFP semifinal as part of ESPN’s MegaCast coverage. A full preview of MegaCast viewing options will be announced later this week.
SEC Goal Line
In addition to its signature studio shows, SEC Network will feature SEC Goal Line as an SEC-centric viewing option on Saturday, Dec. 29, providing whip-around coverage from SEC teams competing in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and Belk Bowl. Airing from 12-4 p.m. Saturday, Peter Burns, Chris Doering, D.J. Shockley and Tori Gurley will provide in-game analysis originating in Charlotte.
The Paul Finebaum Show
The Paul Finebaum Show will originate from an ESPN set outside Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 27 and 28 from 3-7 p.m. A rotating cast of college football analysts and special guests will join Paul in Miami, adding to the SEC flavor in South Florida.
