Last night’s Seattle Seahawks’ 27-24 overtime victory over the previously unbeaten San Francisco 49ers was Monday Night Football‘s most-viewed game of 2019 as ESPN and ESPN Deportes averaged 16,115,000 viewers, according to Nielsen.

The audience was 50 percent higher than ESPN’s Week 10 game last year (New York Giants-San Francisco 49ers).

The MNF game helped ESPN win the night among all networks, broadcast or cable, in households, viewers and all key male and adult demos (18-34, 18-49, 25-54 and 55+). MNF was also the highest-rated telecast of the night across all broadcast and cable networks among the same demos. ESPN has now won the night all 10 Mondays since the start of the NFL season, while MNF has been the No. 1 telecast those same weeks.

On ESPN, Seahawks-49ers averaged 15,978,000 viewers – up 50 percent vs. Week 10 last year – and ranks as the most-viewed MNF game of the 2019 NFL season. The audience peaked during overtime from 11:45 p.m.-12 a.m. ET with 17,549,000 viewers.

ESPN Deportes added 137,000 viewers, up 21 percent vs. Week 10 last year. Behind only last week’s Cowboys-Giants game, this is the second most-viewed MNF game on ESPN Deportes this season.

Local markets:

  • Seattle-Tacoma: The game delivered a 15.3 rating on ESPN and a 30.2 rating on KIRO-CBS for a combined 45.5 rating.
  • San Francisco: The game delivered a 10.0 rating on ESPN and a 20.7 on KGO-ABC for a combined 30.7 rating.

Through 11 games, MNF’s average audience of 12,500,000 viewers is up 10 percent season-to-date (vs. 11,370,000 in 2018).

Monday Night Countdown: Last night’s MNF pregame show on ESPN averaged 1.7 million viewers – a 25 percent increase vs. Week 10 in 2018 – and ranks as the second most-viewed show of the season.
