Sada Baby has been arrested again in Michigan, this time in connection with alleged possession of a controlled substance. The rapper, whose real name is Casada Sorrell, was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 8, in the Detroit suburb of Sterling Heights, according to online jail records.
At the time of writing, Sada Baby is still in custody, with local reports confirming that the Sterling Heights Police Department made the arrest. He is reportedly facing charges for possession of a controlled substance in an amount less than 25 grams. The bond for his release is listed as “no bond,” meaning he is likely to remain in custody for now.
We have reached out to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, the Sterling Heights Police Department, and a representative for Sada Baby for further comment. Updates to this story may follow as new details emerge.
This latest arrest is connected to a previous incident from January, which involved a warrant for driving without a license.
During that arrest, police discovered what was described at the time as “illegal contraband” in Sada Baby’s vehicle, though specifics on the substance have not been clarified. Following this discovery, a new warrant was issued in April for possession of a controlled substance.
Fans may recall that Sada Baby addressed the January arrest on social media, reassuring followers on Instagram that he was “super good” despite the incident.
Despite his ongoing legal troubles, Sada Baby has been active in his music career. In March, he dropped Bridge Kard Blessings, a 14-track project that marked his first full-length release since SkuBop in 2023.
The project includes a previously released remix of JMSN’s viral hit “Soft Spot,” continuing his momentum in the music world despite the setbacks.
Stay tuned for further updates as more information becomes available.
