ESPN’s exclusive coverage of the US Open continues Friday with a trio of former champions plus a former finalist in the Men’s Semifinals at 4 p.m. ET:

  • Top seed and three-time champion Rafael Nadal continues his title defense against with #3 Juan Martin del Potro, the 2009 winner.
  • #6 Novak Djokovic, a 13-time Major champion including 2011 and ‘15 in New York, will play #21 Kei Nishikori, who reached the final in 2014.

Men’s Doubles – First of Five US Open Championships         

Friday’s Men’s Doubles championship is the first of the five US Open championships ESPN will present.  The match will be on ESPN2 at noon, with Americans Mike Bryan and Jack Sock – winners of the recent Wimbledon men’s doubles (Mike’s longtime partner, twin Bob Bryan, is injured) facing Lukas Kubot and Marcelo Melo.  That duo won the 2017 Wimbledon title.

ESPN and the US Open

ESPN has exclusive live action of the US Open with 130 hours on television and 1,300 more streaming live on the ESPN app via ESPN+ and ESPN3.  The daily action from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center will culminate with the Women’s Championship on Saturday, Sept. 8, and the Men’s Championship on Sunday, Sept. 9, both at 4 p.m.
