CINCINNATI (Megan Moore) – Conversation starting and provocative is how some are describing the latest exhibit at the Cincinnati Art Museum

The exhibition, titled “30 Americans,” focuses on issues of race, gender and historical identity.

It showcases artwork by 31 very influential contemporary African American artists from the last 30 years.

“It’s wonderful contemporary artists in various forms, from paintings, to photography to installations,” Jill Dunne said. “So, It really has something for everyone. But, it’s great that it highlights contemporary African American artists.”

“Art After Dark” is a chance to view the art on Friday night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The exhibit is free and it is open through August 28.
