New York’s Paul Kasmin Gallery will offer Tina Barney’s portrait of Joan Didion, The Striped Blanket, 1999, at Frieze New York this week.

The seventh edition of Frieze New York opens to the public on Friday, May 4, with preview days for invited guests on May 2 and 3. The fair will bring together more than 190 galleries from 30 countries to Randall’s Island Park, in the East River. Among the highlights are Emma Amos at New York’s Ryan Lee Gallery, Christopher Aque at Chicago’s Regards, and Jordan Nassar at Los Angeles’s Anat Ebgi.
