Rising up the ranks in Hollywood isn’t as easy as they make it seem on television, and we give extra credit to the young stars trying to become household names before even being able to legally own a home. Actress Marsai Martin was in that boat at one point in her career during those eight great seasons of playing pint-size diva Diane Johnson on the ABC comedy black-ish.
Now at 20, she’s fearlessly taking things to the next level by entering her action era in the new Amazon Prime film, G20, which also stars Viola Davis and reunites Marsai with former TV dad, Anthony Anderson.

The Posted On The Corner crew had the delight of getting paid a visit by the budding media maven, who’s also been tapping heavy into her executive producer bag. She tells DJ Misses and Incognito about all that she learned from all aspects while filming G20 in Cape Town, South Africa, including a few unexpected climate changes. In addition to a few POTC-centric rapid-fire questions that we think you’ll enjoy her responses to, Marsai also hinted at what could be coming from her next on the production side. Just don’t be surprised if sometime in the near future you see a film poster for a young, four-eyed spy flick with style. We see the vision!
