The Los Angeles-based Park View / Paul Soto gallery is moving from its current location in Westlake to the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Mid-City. “It’s been a long search and I looked all over really, from Santa Monica to Eagle Rock,” Paul Soto, who recently opened another space in Brussels, told ARTnews. “I lucked out one day over the summer when I pulled over to check a new ‘for rent’ sign. I had been looking in this area because my friends are there . . . and I felt it is important to situate the gallery geographically within a community of peers.”
The new location will open on September 30 with a solo exhibition of new paintings by Alex Olson. “She is definitely a legend here,” Soto said of the L.A.-based artist. “Her influence has a wide reach in the community, and I am excited for everyone to be able to see this.”
