Stephen A. Smith also makes his first-ever TISC debut
Today ESPN introduced the latest ad from the iconic This is SportsCenter (TISC) franchise featuring Milwaukee Bucks playmaker Giannis “The Greek Freak” Antetokounmpo, SportsCenter anchors Sage Steele, Neil Everett, Stan Verrett and — making his TISC debut — First Take’s Stephen A. Smith. In this installment, the team tries to make Antetokounmpo feel at home by showing off their knowledge of Greek culture, but he is less than impressed. “Greek Traditions” premieres tonight during the First Take NBA Playoffs Special at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Bucks will also showcase the spot in arena when the team hosts the Boston Celtics in their first home game of the playoffs at BMO Harris Bradley Center. ESPN’s internal agency CreativeWorks wrote the spots in house and worked with Hungry Man on the production.
Since 1995, This is SportsCenter has given fans and viewers an inside peek at the Bristol campus with a humorous spin on day-to-day life at ESPN. The network has produced more than 400 advertising spots as part of this signature franchise.
