Joe Goldberg’s dark and twisted journey is finally coming to an end. Netflix announced that the fifth and final season of “You” will premiere in 2025, marking the end of the captivating psychological thriller. Read what we know about the upcoming season and check out the official teaser key art inside.
Along with the announcement, fans were treated to the striking key art that hints at an epic conclusion to Joe’s tumultuous tale.

Based on Caroline Kepnes’ novels, Netflix’s hit series “You” follows Joe, a seemingly charming book lover whose obsession with love often spirals into stalking and murder. Over four seasons, viewers have watched Joe navigate New York, Los Angeles, the San Francisco suburbs, and London, leaving destruction and unanswered questions in his wake.
Season 5 brings Joe back to New York City, where he aims to settle into a “happily ever after” with Kate Lockwood (Charlotte Ritchie). But ghosts from his past—and his own demons—threaten to unravel his new life.
This final season introduces intriguing new characters, including Griffin Matthews as Teddy Lockwood, Kate’s snarky brother, and Anna Camp in dual roles as Kate’s scheming twin sisters. Additionally, Madeline Brewer plays Bronte, a free-spirited playwright whose connection with Joe stirs memories of his former self. Fans can also expect a familiar face from Joe’s past to resurface, bringing unfinished business into sharp focus.
The creative team behind “You” has long envisioned the series as a five-season journey. While co-creator Sera Gamble steps back as showrunner, seasoned writers Michael Foley and Justin W. Lo take the helm, promising a “delightfully twisted” ending. Executive producers Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter have assured fans that the final season will deliver on the show’s legacy of suspense and psychological intrigue.
With the series consistently captivating audiences and dominating Netflix’s Global Top 10 list, the stage is already set for a thrilling finale. Will Joe finally face justice? Fans will have to wait until 2025 to witness the conclusion of his morally murky saga.
