Average Audience of 18,496,000 Viewers; Peaked with 22,497,000 Viewers

ABC’s coverage of the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV – the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 122-103 on Sunday – generated the third-largest Game 2 audience since 2001, according to Fast Nationals from Nielsen. The broadcast averaged 18,496,000 viewers and peaked with 22,497,000 viewers from 10:15-10:30 p.m. ET.

Last night’s audience was up 27 percent from ABC’s historical Game 2 viewership average of 14,538,000 viewers. It was also up seven percent from this year’s Game 1 audience, which drew 17,354,000 viewers last Thursday night.

ABC’s coverage of the NBA Finals won the night across all of television for the 62nd consecutive time.

The 2018 NBA Finals will continue with Game 3 on Wednesday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET on ABC, the ESPN App, ESPN Radio and ESPN Deportes. Additionally, multiple second-screen streaming offerings are available on ESPN3 and the ESPN App, including “Full Court Press” and “Iso Cam.”

Additionally, the next installment of Detail, the high-level basketball analysis and film study show from ESPN and Kobe Bryant’s Granity Studios, will be available soon exclusively on ESPN+ . The show features the five-time NBA Champion Bryant breaking down the 2018 NBA Finals from the perspective of a player who competed in the game.
