The Julie Foudy & espnW Sports Leadership Academy, taking place July 7-11 at The Peddie School in Highstown, N.J., will benefit from the collaboration of Project YouDoYou, a media and advertising industry initiative focusing on GenZ young women, created by Mindshare’s Chief Content Officer, David Lang. PYDY’s goal is to lift GenZ girls up through inspirational content and experiences – enabling them to take meaningful action and make the world a better place as future leaders of society.

Project YouDoYou’s name signifies individuality, but its tag line – “Behind Every Powerful Girl is another Powerful Girl” – leans into the power of the collective. The principles of individuality and following your dreams, while supporting and elevating your peers, will be woven throughout the curriculum of the Academy in topics like leadership mentorship, redefining stereotypes and health & wellness – bringing to life PYDY’s belief that “behind every powerful girl, is another powerful girl.” The Julie Foudy & espnW Sports Leadership Academy boasts participants from 13 different countries, and various experiences throughout the Academy will focus on their similarities being much greater than their differences.

Complementing the robust curriculum of the Julie Foudy & espnW Sports Leadership Academy, Project YouDoYou will also provide Tuesday night’s guest speaker, Nadya Okamoto, the 21-year-old founder and executive director of PERIOD (period.org). Okamoto is a leading speaker about The Menstrual Movement, the power of Generation Z and youth activism, and overcoming adversity, including how she turned her own experiences into a platform for advocacy.

In addition to its partnership with the Julie Foudy & espnW Sports Leadership Academy, PYDY has collaborated with chart-topping artist Camila Cabello, designer Rebecca Minkoff, iHeartMedia, Snapchat and more. For more information on Project YouDoYou, please visit ProjectYouDoYou.com
