Prayers are underway for the full restorative healing of Pastor Marvin L. Winans.
The legendary gospel artist and pastor recently announced his bladder cancer diagnosis. He revealed the news to his congregation at Perfecting Church (Detroit, MI) during worship service on Sunday, July 21st.

In the sermon (watch clip below) he not only discloses the diagnosis but gives a powerful testimony about the importance of prayer and having “no room for doubt.” The testimony ends with a health update that leaves the church cheering and thanking God.
“The first time they could see it…this time when they went in the doctor said, “Okay…there’s nothing there.”…[Doubt] nothing [and] have confidence in what God is doing in our midst!”

Pastor Winans is well-known for being a member of his multi-generational musical family. The family includes artists like gospel and R&B duo BeBe & CeCe Winans, and the quartet group ‘The Winans’ (made up by Marvin and his brothers Carvin, Michael and Ronald Winans).
Pastor Winans is beloved for his contributions to gospel music, as well as his dedication to ministry and community. He founded Perfecting Church in 1989, and Winans Academy of Performing Arts in 1997.
