Mahisha Dellinger, founder and CEO of black haircare brand CURLS L.L.C., is not shy about sharing her story of how she went from growing up underprivileged to now being the owner of the multimillion-dollar beauty brand. Furthermore, she goes the extra mile to educate women who are aspiring entrepreneurs and uplift those in business. In 2018, Dellinger mentored entrepreneurs on the hit show Mind Your Business with Mahisha on OWN. Now she’s bringing a community of women together June 6–9 in Los Angeles for the first annual Black Girls Making Millions Academy (BGMMA)!
During the sold-out event, attendees will be able to learn from and be inspired by business experts like Michelle Rice, general manager at TV ONE; Dr. Lynn Richardson, TV/Radio host, money expert, life coach, and giver; Ashely Kirkland, hostess, trademark and contracts lawyer; and more!
The academy offers three tracks for attendees to select from to tailor their experience and best learn how to make millions based on their needs.
- The Start Up – Turn your idea into a viable business.
- The Come Up – Grow your business and take it to the next level.
- The Blow Up – Pitch your business idea to investors for funding.
Over the course of three days, women will be able to engage up close and personal with Dellinger during her “Pillow Talk’ one-on-one session; attend sessions; and master classes. Health and wellness activities are also built into the programming so that women can put themselves first with morning meditation and yoga. There is also a fair amount of entertainment with a comedy show on the agenda! And, in millionaire fashion, ladies will be taking a private yacht cruise.
We’re more than certain that the women are going to level up at the Black Girls Making Millions Academy. Be sure to follow BLACK ENTERPRISE on Instagram as we give you behind-the-scenes access to the event.
