Lil Uzi Vert is currently undergoing medical treatment in New York City after being rushed to the hospital, TMZ Hip Hop reports.
Emergency responders were called to a hotel in Lower Manhattan on Monday afternoon following a report of a “sick person.”
According to an eyewitness, the rapper was seen being taken out of the hotel on a stretcher around 2:30 PM. He was placed into an ambulance as security held up several black umbrellas to shield him from public view.
Sources say Uzi’s girlfriend, former City Girls member JT, was by his side throughout the incident.
Video footage captured shortly after paramedics arrived shows Uzi being carefully loaded into the ambulance. TMZ sources confirmed he was conscious at the time and was taken directly to the emergency room, where he remained overnight.
As of Tuesday morning, Lil Uzi Vert is still hospitalized. Details regarding the nature of his condition or what led to the emergency transport have not been released.
