Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson remains sidelined from practice, but there is growing optimism he could return Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jackson has a “realistic” chance of playing despite not practicing since suffering an ankle injury during Baltimore’s Oct. 4 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
Head Coach Jesse Minter described Jackson’s recovery as day-to-day, noting the quarterback has been working hard to return.
If Jackson remains unavailable, Tyler “Snoop” Huntley would make his second consecutive start after leading Baltimore to a comeback overtime victory against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Ravens listed 19 players on Wednesday’s injury report, with Jackson, rookie tight end Matt Hibner and defensive lineman Calais Campbell the only players not practicing.
Wide receiver Rashod Bateman was limited with a shoulder injury, although Minter expects him to be ready for Sunday.
Meanwhile, outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson returned as a full participant after missing two games with a finger injury. Rookie receiver Ja’Kobi Lane also practiced fully after returning from injured reserve.
Center Cam Jurgens participated in practice while wearing a non-contact jersey as he continues progressing through concussion protocol.
Baltimore hopes to regain several key contributors ahead of its AFC North matchup in Cleveland.
