Pictures at an Exhibition presents images of one notable show every weekday.

Today’s show: Barbara Kruger’s Untitled (Questions), 1990/2018, is installed on the exterior of the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Los Angeles through November 2020. The work was originally commissioned by the Museum of Contemporary Art for the 1989 exhibition “A Forest of Signs: Art in the Crisis of Representation” and then reinstalled the following year on the south wall of what was then MOCA’s Temporary Contemporary building. According to the museum’s website, “In connection with the work, a series of voter registration efforts will be anchored by the artwork in advance of the 2018 midterms, as well as the 2020 general election.”
