Kanye West is done talking politics after conservative pundit Candace Owens used his name to push apparel he claims he didn’t design.
Owens told Page Six over the weekend that West was the designer behind her clothing line, Blexit, created to encourage Black Democrats to leave the party and register as Republicans.
“Blexit is a renaissance and I am blessed to say that this logo, these colors, were created by my dear friend and fellow superhero Kanye West.”

Owens took to Instagram shortly after the designs made their debut at this weekend’s Young Black Leadership Summit.
“BLEXIT= the Black Exit from the Democrat Party,” Owens clarified. “We are AMERICANS, first and foremost. Republicans are NOT racist— they are our American brothers and sisters and we will fight alongside them to fix our broken communities, absent the politics of fear.”
West is now denying he had anything to do with Blexit, claiming the woman he previously admired used his name for publicity because the actual designer didn’t want anything to do with the brand.
“I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it,” West tweeted. The rapper also claims he now realizes he’s been used to spread messages he doesn’t actually believe in.
“I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!”
