Longhorn Network, the 24-hour network devoted to the University of Texas, will televise the Longhorns’ Big 12 matchup against Kansas on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. ET. The two-game LHN football slate also included the Longhorns’ season opener against Louisiana Tech earlier this fall.
Texas GameDay and Texas GameDay Final, Longhorn Network’s signature pre- and post-game shows, will be part of the surrounding LHN coverage of the Jayhawks’ visit to the 40. Texas GameDay begins two hours prior to kick-off and Texas GameDay Final wraps up LHN’s game day coverage with post-game analysis immediately following the final whistle. The Texas GameDay roster for home games includes Ricky Williams, Jordan Shipley, and Michael Griffin, along with host Lowell Galindo and reporter Alex Loeb.
New this year, the Texas GameDay set is placed outside the west exterior of Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium for home games, taking in the sights and sounds of Bevo Blvd., the action-filled pre-game street party. After the first hour of the show, the Texas GameDay team will move to a field set inside DKR with exclusive sideline access as they continue their pre-game analysis ahead of kickoff.
