Jalen Hurts is a married man now!
Congratulations are in order for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and his longtime girlfriend Bry Burrows. During an interview with Men’s Health published on April 22, Hurts shared that he was gearing up to marry his college sweetheart. He even revealed that by the time the article went live, the proposal would already be in the books.
“You can call her my wife,” Hurts gushed.
Highlighting just how deep their bond runs, Hurts arrived for his Men’s Health interview with a crumpled pink Post-It note tucked in his pocket, a heartfelt message from his now-wife that read:
“You are exactly where you are supposed to be. I love you. Follow God! I follow you.”
Hurts and Burrows’ union should come as no surprise. In September 2024, the couple announced their engagement during an exclusive interview with Essence. The couple shared precious photos of how Hurts popped the question to his sweetie which took place on a beautiful tropical beach surrounded by candles amid a breathtaking sunset.
Before the proposal, Hurts told the magazine inside their May/June 2023 cover story, that he “knew a long time ago” Burrows would be his wife.
“I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now,” the NFL star added.
The couple has come a long way since their college days. According to Today, both Hurts and Burrows attended the University of Alabama, where Hurts served as the Crimson Tide’s starting quarterback for two seasons. He later transferred to the University of Oklahoma for his senior year to continue his football journey before entering the NFL draft.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Burrows stayed active on campus—she was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and even ran for homecoming queen. She went on to earn her MBA from Alabama.
Some women took to X to share their heartbreak over the news of Hurts’ marriage, but we’re here for it. We’re ready to watch the star quarterback step confidently into this new chapter of life with his rock, Burrows, by his side. No word just yet on the couple’s wedding plans.
