ESPN welcomes the return of college football with an unrivaled slate of games and the chart-topping music from Interscope Records. As announced on Tuesday, the newest single from Imagine Dragons “Natural” has been chosen as this year’s college football anthem, and will highlight the overall collaboration between ESPN, Interscope Records and Universal Music Group Nashville for the fourth consecutive year. Once again, music from the labels’ biggest artists will be incorporated into ESPN college football programming, promotion and games throughout the season.
“‘Natural’ embodies the energy, spirit and drama of each team’s journey to the College Football Playoff, and that is why it was chosen as this year’s anthem,” said Emeka Ofodile, ESPN vice president of sports marketing. “Every year we look to provide a soundtrack that uniquely represents the story of the College Football season and the College Football Playoff to come, and we are thrilled to have Imagine Dragons on board with us.”
Last night, Imagine Dragons performed “Natural” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on ABC, marking the track’s world television debut and ushering in a fresh sound to the college football season on ESPN.
This season, college football fans will hear music from Imagine Dragons and other top artists from Interscope and Universal Music Group Nashville including One Republic, DJ Snake, Keith Urban, Eric Church, Jamie N Commons, Jay Rock, SUR, and many more. ESPN celebrates the return of college football this Labor Day Weekend, which will feature a robust schedule of marquee match ups and the most games of any network in week 1, a theme that will continue throughout the season.
