The eighth edition of the Expo Chicago art fair will feature some 135 galleries from 24 countries September 19-22 at Chicago’s Navy Pier Festival Hall. The participating galleries were chosen by a selection committee made up of gallerists Stefania Bortolami, Kavi Gupta, Chris D’amelio, John Corbett, Jessica Silverman, Susanne Vielmetter, Rhona Hoffman, Javier Peres, and Nick Koenigsknecht.
Tony Karman, Expo Chicago’s director, stated in a release, “I am extremely proud of the breadth of our international programming and curatorial initiatives this year, alongside our global collector and museum engagement. We are confident that this will be a week not to be missed within the international art world calendar.”
Expo Chicago is divided into different sections, with the main section featuring participating booths supported by Profile, which presents booths of work from one artist or collective from international galleries; Exposure, which features solo or two-artist booths from galleries that 10 years old or younger; Editions + Books, presenting artist books; and Special Exhibitions, which will present site-specific work. The full list of participating galleries is below.
