Sometimes being wrong isn’t such a bad thing. When Charles Bibbs discovered he’d matched the first five numbers in the April 21 Mega Millions drawing, he figured he’d won $250,000, and he was excited about it.

“I had to look at the ticket twenty or thirty times,” he said. “I couldn’t believe it.”

It turns out the Henrico man was wrong. He hadn’t won $250,000. His ticket was actually worth $1 million!

Mr. Bibbs bought his winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 5200 Williamsburg Road in Henrico. On April 27 he and his wife Deborah returned to the store to receive his check from the Virginia Lottery.
